Is devil's bolete poisonous?
Few poisonous mushrooms look as substantial as a mature devil's bolete.
Its cap can exceed the width of a dinner plate, while the short swollen stem can appear almost too thick for the cap above it.

It can stain blue much faster, but cooking traditions around that species do not make an uncertain red-pored bolete safe.
