Writers and reviewers, kept separate
Writers research and draft. Reviewers check identification and safety. We keep the two roles apart on purpose, because the person who writes a page is the worst placed to judge whether it is safe.
That separation is the single rule that shapes how the whole site is made.
How we work together
A writer builds a page from vetted sources and field experience. A reviewing mycologist then checks the identity, the edibility call, and the lookalikes on their own.
When a reader reports an error, safety corrections jump ahead of new content and are fixed fast, with the reviewer looped back in.

We are always glad to hear from experienced foragers, growers, cooks, and mycologists who want to write or review. Formal training and a long, documented field record both count.
